Fix cap sig!
Okay there are a few things that popped into my head while thinking of this. Here's my idea -
To get the title Elite Skill Hunter, you have to have every single elite skill in the game. And yo only get 2 free cap sigs (one for the quest, a second one for finishing it). The rest you all have to buy, most likely at 1k each. Now I realize it's only 1k, but in the long run, it adds up to be over 100k to get all skills. So my idea is to have another way to get cap sigs. My thought was a repeatable quest, like the Kurzick and Luxon scout ones. It would save us so much money in the long run and make it easier for us to achieve our title.
Speaking of cap sigs, you can only equip up to so many. That's fine, but in order for them to work, you have to be standing next to a dead boss of your corresponding profession (primary or secondary). My second idea is this:
Let the cap sig work for any profession that you have obtained (for instance, if you haven't unlocked R/A, you can't cap a sin skill, but if you are currently a R/Rt but have unlocked R/W, you can cap either one). That way you don't have to keep going back and forth (especially for skills that can only be capped in missions).

I'll gladly pay 100-200k to get enough cap sigs for 4 maxed titles. This is nothing compared to titles like drunkard or sweet tooth, that cost millions.
If you don't have the gold yet, don't go for those titles. There are obtainable, "free" titles.

Skill Hunter is like the poor man's money title, the title everyone goes for before buying a disgusting amount of sweets and gorging on them. It's fine the way it is, buying sigs is a lot more pleasurable than doing the same lame quests over and over to ony save 1k.
Another problem with this I can see is that 1k is how much you'll spend if you plan on getting a normal skill anyway. Making elite skills easier and cheaper to get would be a bit silly.
By the way, there are 290 elites in the game, not counting lightbringer's signet. That's a lot more than 100.

Like already said the title is fine the way it is. It doesnt add up to too much and if you have a starting capital of about 50k you can max the title without ever farming again. Since you make many by getting to the bosses.
290k for four maxed titles is nothing at all

The title is fine as is.

Offtopic: What's with starting threads with the phrase "Fix so and so..." That somehow implies that "so and so" is broken, which in itself is an assumption you need to prove as part of the suggestion.

Hmm... I'm all about saving my limited funds, but I just don't have the time/attention span to grind the same quest over and over and over again. After about 5 sigs, I'd willingly go back to paying any amount to avoid having to repeat the quest.
Make it too hard, and it's not worth the 1k you save. Make it too easy, and farmers fill up on elites in no time flat.
I think the system's fine the way it is. Give us a few free cap sigs, enough to get something important or really cool, then let us buy the rest. Maybe toss in another quest or two, but I wouldn't change anything.

/signed for number 2 idea.
I like the number 2 idea, if you've already pay 500g to change your secondary profession, while not of that secondary profession, you can still cap the elite if you happens to kill a boss of a profession that is one of your un-locked secondary but it will, off course be grey out and un-usable once cap and only usable when you switch to said secondary back in town and equipped the skill.

Here's how this works.
You buy a skill for one platinum. You are now able to use that skill for that cost.
You buy a SoC for 1 platinum. This money cost + the work to cap it is the price you pay for elites, unless you pay 5k+ for an elite tome.
There's no reason that you shouldn't have to pay for elite skills one by one. You gain use of them. They have other uses than for titles. Be grateful you get 2 elites free from the campaigns, and even get a reward with that.
I only agree with the second idea. That would help.

Yes! And let's have an emote that gives you 100k every second!
Honestly, don't aim for what you can't shoot at. In this case, stop wanting the title if you don't have the ability to farm gold.
I have Elona Elite Skill hunter and almost Legendary (I have the sigs and I'm about 30 skills off), and I hardly farm!
As for a repeatable quest... no. I don't want to see another FFF type of quest that people do 24/7 for a title that's unique in its own way.

/unsigned. If it costs 1k to buy a regular skill, it better damn well cost 1k to cap an elite skill.

Thus killing the gold sink of the skill hunter title. So give me a good reason why the gold sink should be removed ?

This however will be really useful. Especially in Prophesies where the bosses spawn randomly. Going out 5 times just to find the right boss is annoying enough (I have had this happen), but when the bosses that do spawn could also have a wanted skill I can see this getting really annoying.

To bilateralrope, that adds the difficulty to the title. The hardest skill to cap IMO from Elona is Stunning Spear, and that's hardly hard. Tyria has about 51 less elites to cap, and has the easiest monsters (assuming you have every campaign). The challenge of the boss not being there shouldn't be removed if you can cap, let's say, a necro skill as a warrior/monk.

I wouldn't mind seeing a new tome added to the mix. Tome of Capture. Every other skill (other than PvE only) can be obtained using a tome so why not a SoC? You'd still have to equip the sig and cap the skill as normal.
I dunno, just an idea
The title doesn't really need making any easier though. Sure it's time consuming but then most titles worth having are, and you pretty much cover the cost of the sig when you go capping anyway

You have another way. It's called 'elite tomes'. If you buy them it may cost 10k each one, but if they drop for you, they are compleeeetely free of charge, and you can even sell them to buy 10 signets!
It's true that skills should not be captured during missions, for those skills, there should be 'copies' of the skill that spawn elsewhere after beting the mission, but the 'kill the boss to capture' thing must stay. It's a signet of Capture.
And don't let me get started whit the whole 'unlock' Signet of Capture thing...
All characters should not be able either to buy or use the skill until after beating the Signet Quests in their respective campaigns, and then the signet should appear in every single trainer after beating that quest, or just appear in all, but fail until making that quest, with a "Skill failed. You know how to activate this skill, but not how to use it properly". Not like now, that has fixed trainers and you can use it from level 1 if you have the Guild Hall Skill Trainer.

Plenty of other people seemed to have managed this easy enough, so I don't see how there can be anything wrong with it.
